Ending Homelessness in the Fairfax-Falls Church Community

Following a commitment to end homelessness in 10 years, the communities of Fairfax County, Fairfax City and Falls Church needed to design an implementation plan to ensure success. The Perspectives Group was hired to facilitate this planning process by engaging over 100 area stakeholders in the development of the plan. The Perspectives Group led four major work groups and over a dozen subcommittees through a six-month process to create a comprehensive and detailed plan for a new system to address homelessness based on the Housing First approach. The final plan was completed in May, 2008, and we facilitated over 60 individual meetings and two large public workshops leading up to the finalization.
