Crystal Sarno, President
Ms. Sarno is President of The Perspectives Group. She has over 30 years experience
as a project manager and communications specialist. She established Graphic
Perspectives in 1991 to serve the design needs of small businesses and non-profits
and quickly expanded, using her considerable management skills to provide comprehensive
business and event management services. Through a later merger with a public
participation firm, Ms. Sarno established The Perspectives Group to provide
a broad spectrum of communication and participation services to private, non-profit,
and government clients. In this capacity, she has managed over $10 million of
work in a wide range of areas including extensive public participation projects,
international conferences, association management, professional training, marketing,
and graphic design. Ms. Sarno currently oversees all work of The Perspectives
Group and also remains active in project work, helping to design effective communication
programs, conceive of original design and marketing programs, manage participatory
decision processes, and design professional training programs.
Doug Sarno, Principal
Mr. Sarno is a senior facilitator, trainer, and policy analyst with over twenty
years experience in decision-making, dispute resolution, public participation,
and environmental management. Mr. Sarno has facilitated over a thousand meetings
and developed dozens of programs and publications to assist in decision-making
and evaluation on a broad range of issues. He has managed and facilitated numerous
stakeholder advisory boards and designed and facilitated many national and international
stakeholder forums. Mr. Sarno is a Master Trainer for the International Association
for Public Participation Certificate Training in Public Participation which
he has taught to thousands of students throughout the world. Mr. Sarno also
teaches collaboration, team-building, risk communication, and public communications
and has assisted numerous agencies and non-profit groups in developing leading
edge policies and guidance for decision-making, public participation, planning,
and long-term stewardship. Mr. Sarno has provided direct policy support to numerous
U.S. Federal Agencies as well as governments in The Republic of Georgia, Thailand,
Mexico, and Vietnam and trained representatives from dozens of countries in
public participation and collaborative decision making. Mr. Sarno has served
on a wide variety of task forces and advisory panels aimed at improving management
and decision-making for numerous federal agencies, non-profit groups and the
National Academies of Sciences. He served five years as the Executive Director
of the International Association for Public Participation and is currently Chairman
of the non-profit participatory art organization Shared Vision.
Kristie Bergeron-Hale
Kristie Bergeron-Hale is the Administrative Manager for The Perspectives Group, and the Executive Assistant to the President. Her wide range of experience in office and client management, production, design, and marketing is an asset to a full range of projects for both The Perspectives Group, and Graphic Perspectives. Ms. Bergeron-Hale expertly handles the logistical aspects of all presentations, meetings, including public outreach and training events of all sizes.
Jim Lawson
Jim comes to The Perspectives Group with a wide variety of senior management, facilitation and business development experience. His expertise includes marketing and sales, meeting planning, staff management and facilitation. Mr. Lawson has an extensive background in the private sector as he worked with one of the largest communications messaging companies in the country. Over the past 20 years he has been an integral part of senior management teams in the private and non-profit world. Jim led the business development department of an international association in their very successful effort to grow membership and to create annual conferences and expositions. Locally, Jim has led the efforts of a regional association and their the membership department to create, plan, manage and facilitate over 60 full and half day high technology programs annually. Jim holds his certification with the International Association for Public Participation and has recently completed an extensive project with the Department of Energy. Over his varied career he has managed and facilitated hundreds of community and industry specific committees that extends from small businesses to Fortune 500 companies.
Paul LeValley
Paul LeValley is a senior-level executive with more than 20 years experience
in communication, project management, community relations, training and operations
for highly successful media organizations. He has a proven record of
accomplishment in each of several leadership positions. Mr. LeValley
has demonstrated skills in strategic planning, public and government relations,
writing, editing and publishing, coalition building, and complex problem
solving. He has extensive experience managing people, projects, events,
and finances, and is an award winning television writer, producer, and director.
He has facilitated a wide variety of meetings and events to share information,
gather input and reach consensus. He recently helped to facilitate the national
workshop on Public Participation in Nanotechnology in Arlington, Virginia.
Mr. LeValley is a University adjunct communications professor, and a recognized
community leader.
Donna Lucas
Donna Lucas has twenty-five years of experience in consulting, small business
management and leadership roles for international and domestic organizations.
Her background includes sales and marketing for international consumer products
company; public relations, meeting planning, strategic planning, talent recruitment,
financial and operations management; coaching and mentoring practice; grant
making and resource development; adult education and training, curriculum design
and development; project and organizational consultation; meeting design and
facilitation; publishing and communications programming, including print and
film; development and marketing of products and services for Fortune 500 companies;
facility renovation and development; and information systems design.
Karen Rose
Karen Rose is a seasoned graphic designer with over 12 years of experience
in creating print communication. She has utilized her design skills in a
broad
range of projects involving magazines, direct mail, brochures, stationery systems,
brand identity initiatives, and covers and illustrations for major government
proposals. She has honed her creative skills producing pieces
for various
Fortune
500 companies, educational institutions and political campaigns. Ms. Rose holds
a Bachelor of Science from Louisiana State University.
Mark Rosera
Mr. Rosera is a motion picture producer, and cinematographer. He was trained at the Academy of Art University in creating compelling communications through visual media. His commitment to The Perspectives Group is to fulfill the company mission, and the needs of our clients with extraordinary audio/visuals. Mark takes the company’s vision to new heights by producing original media such as narrative films, documentaries, training videos, and media for internet broadcasts.
